MMS Field Trips and Annual Picnics
Memories of field trips from 2001 and 2002.
Last year, 2002 the MMS went on several field trips which include the Fossil Park in Sylvania, Ohio and Dundas and Beamsville Ontario.

The MMS had their first field trips of the year. Several members went to Beamsville, Ontario on May 10, 2003. That weekend it was predicted to rain, but God blessed us with good weather and great collecting of calcite, celestite, dolomite, galena and gypsum. On May 17th, several members went collecting in Rockwood and were also successful in collecting.

At trip to Dundas Ontario was held on June 28 & 29.

The MMS's Annual Picnic was held this year at Arkona, Ontario on July 13. We met at the Glen Rock Conservation Area at the gatehouse at 9:00AM. Every one collected many fossils and enjoyed all the food at the potluck lunch. This was an excellent site for fossil collecting.

CANCELLED - fossil collecting field trip at Sylvania, Ohio on July 26.
